3-D Viewing Glasses | Black History

sunglasses_sameliaYours truly is a sucker for sunglasses a some of you probably all ready know SAMELIA’s WORLD…

I LOVE SUNGLASSES… An found it interesting that the inventor of the 3D viewing glasses is a Black American…  Did any of you know this?

Yep… Mr. Kenneth J. Dunkley is best known for inventing Three Dimensional Viewing Glasses (3-DVG). His patented invention displays 3-D effects from regular 2-D photos without any type of lenses, mirrors or optical elements.

Talk about visual effects how cool is this.  It funny because my son was asking me about who would come up with such a cool pair of glasses. So yours truly looked it up and wow! Come to find out it was a Black American. Not that we are not intelligent enough or anything as a people. I just felt this is was such a odd invention… Wondering was he tripping when he came up with this? Even questioning, how did he realize they were 3D? What movie or television in his time was he able to watch it on?

What are your thoughts SAMELIA’s WORLD?

On another note, Kenneth Dunkley also receives attention for his efforts as a visual pioneer, and is also a leader in the field of holography. Gotta tell you this was pretty interesting to learn.
